Covs is a GLBT dating site located in the U.K. which is intended to be inclusive of a wider age range than most such sites. They don't accept escort or masseur listings, nor do they allow nude pictures or members under 21. Their free services cover everything except cloaked email to other free members. You can always email a paying member. Members added to your favorites are notified and you know if you are added to another members favorites. That's when you can decide if direct contact is worth the small fee. Based upon the "matches" we saw this site seems to lean more toward sexual hookups vs dating and relationships.
The unique, and somewhat limiting, feature of this operation is that you are matched with others who meet your criteria, if you also meet their desires. You don't see all the profiles and pictures and not every member sees your information. This approach is discrete, as casual visitors to the site and incompatible members don't know you exist. If you like cruising or just aren't sure what you're looking for, this approach isn't for you. Their design is extremely user friendly: accessible and usable by individuals with hearing or visual impairments and also those with low-bandwidth connections.
The Dating Dude interviewed Jim, a 58-year-old gay man from the Midwest. His impression was that Covs has met its goal of providing a service for the older gay community. But, in his words, "their matching process stinks. I noted I was gay, yet the third highest ranking 'match' was looking for a tranny. How dumb is that!"
He continues, "In addition, they don't include information on sexual preferences (top, bottom, slave, master, kinky, etc.) So, unless he's put it in his narrative, you're shooting in the dark with the matches they give you."
